Hungarian Style Beef and Cabbage Rice With Paprika Sour Cream And Fresh Dill


PREP TIME: 10 Minutes/ COOK TIME: 25 Minutes

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy

INGREDIENTS: 1/2 Cup White Rice, Garlic, 1 TSP Paprika, 1 TBSP Onion Powder, Crushed Tomatoes, Ground Beef, Cone Head Cabbage, 1/8 Cup Vinegar Red Wine Vinegar , 1 TBSP Beef Bouillon, Dill, 2 Sour Cream


Step 1: Cook Rice

Wash and dry produce

In a small pot, combine 2 TBSP butter, rice, 1 cup of water, and 1/4 TSP of salt and pepper

Bring to a boil

REDUCE HEAT TO LOW, AND COVER

Simmer for 15 minutes

Keep covered off heat until ready to use

Step 2: Prep

Remove and discard and outer leaves from cabbage, and quarter length wise, remove thick core and stem

Cut cabbage into 1 inch cubes

Peel and mince garlic

Pick and roughly chop fronds from dill

Step 3: Cook Beef

Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pot over medium heat

Add beef, half the paprika, 1 TSP onion powder, and 1/4 TSP of salt and pepper

Cook, breaking up meat into pieces, and cook for 6 minutes

Add garlic, cook for 1 minute

Step 4: Cook Cabbage and Add Rice

To pot with beef, stir in cabbage, tomatoes, stock concentrate, 1/4 cup water, and 1 TSP sugar

Cook for 8 minutes

Turn off heat, add half the vinegar, 1 TBSP butter, and 1/4 TSP salt and pepper

Stir in rice

Step 5: Make Sauce

While beef and cabbage Cook, in a small bowl combine sour cream, and remaining paprika

Add 1 TSP at a time until reaches drizzling consistency

Step 6: Finish and Serve

Divide beef and cabbage rice between shallow bowls

Drizzle with paprika sour cream

Garnish with dill, and serve

Serve Hot and Enjoy!
