Chocolate Chip Cake With Chocolate Crumb Topping

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy

INGREDIENTS: For Cake- 1.5 Cup of Flour, 1/2 Cup Sugar, 2.5 TSP Baking Powder, 1/2 TSP Salt, 1 Egg, 2/3 Cup Milk, 2 TBSP Oil, 2 TSP Vanilla, 1 Cup Mini Chocolate Chips

For Crumb Topping- 1 Cup Flour, 1/2 Cup Sugar, 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, 1/4 TSP Salt, 2.5 TBSP CoCo Powder, 1 Stick Melted Butter, 1/4 TSP Sugar, Powder Sugar


Step 1: Dry Ingredients and Preheat

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix Ingredients for cake

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt

Step 2: Wet Ingredients

Combine wet Ingredients to dry

Combine egg, milk, oil, vanilla

Mix for 2 minutes

Step 3: Chocolate Chips

Fold chocolate chips into batter. Do not over mix

Step 4: Make Crumb Topping

Combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, coco powder, and cinnamon. Mix well

Melt 1 stick of butter

Combine melted butter to dry Ingredients

Using a fork fold mixture to create large crumbs

Do not over mix or crumbs will fall apart

Step 5: Bake Cake

Pour cake batter into loaf pan, do not over fill

Top with crumb topping

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean

Step 6: Finish and Serve

Completely cool cake

Dust with powder sugar

Serve and Enjoy!
