Aprcot Glazed Bavette

APRCOT BALSAMIC GLAZED BAVETTE STEAK WITH GINGER GARLIC RICE, AND SESAME GREEN BEANS


PREP TIME: 10 Minutes/ COOK TIME: 45 Minutes

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Medium 

INGREDIENTS: Ginger, Garlic, Scallions, 2 TBSP Soy Sauce, Shallot, 1 TBSP Beef Bouillon Paste, 3/4 Cup Jasmine Rice, Bavette Steak, 1 TBSP Fry Seasoning, 3 TBSP Aprcot Jam, 1/8 Cup Balsamic Vinegar, Green Beans, Sesame Seeds, 2 TBSP Sesame Oil


Step 1: Prep

Wash and dry produce

Peel, and mince garlic and ginger

Trim and thinly slice scallions

Halve peel and mince shallot

Step 2: Cook Rice

Melt 2 TBSP of butter in a medium pot over medium heat

Add ginger, scallions, and garlic

Cook for 2 minutes

Stir in rice, half the beef bouillion paste, 1.25 cups of water, and 1/4 TSP of salt and pepper

Bring to a boil

REDUCE HEAT TO LOW AND COVER

Simmer for 15 minutes

Keep covered off heat until ready to serve

Step 3: Cook Steak

While rice is cooking, pat steak dry with paper towels

Season all over with 1 TSP of fry seasoning, and 1/4 TSP of salt and pepper

Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium heat

Cook to desired doneness 4-6 per side

Set on a cutting board to rest

Step 4: Make Glaze

Melt 1 TBSP of butter in same pan used for steak, over medium heat

Add minced shallots, and cook for 4 minutes

Stir in jam, and vinegar for 1 minute

Stir in 1/4 Cup of water, bouillion paste, and 1 TSP of sugar

Bring to a boil

REDUCE HEAT TO LOW

Simmer for 4 minutes

Remove from heat

Season with 1 /4 TSP of salt and pepper

Step 5: Cook Green Beans

Add 2 TBSP of butter to a pan on medium heat

Add green beans, 1 TBSP of Sesame oil, and 1/4 TSP of salt and pepper

Steam for 7 minutes

Step 6: Finish and Serve

Fluff Rice with fork

Slice steak

Divide rice, steak, and green beans between plates

Drizzle steak with glaze

Top everything with scallions, and soy sauce

Serve hot and enjoy!
