Lemon Herb Steak

CREAMY LEMON HERB STEAK WITH BALSAMIC GLAZED BRUSSEL SPROUTS AND CARROTS


PREP TIME: 10 Minutes/ COOK TIME: 45 Minutes

DIFFICULTY LEVEL:Medium

INGREDIENTS: Brussel Sprouts, Carrots, Garlic, Lemon, 1 TBSP Italian Seasoning, 2 TBSP Cream Cheese, 2 TBSP Creme Fraiche, 1/8 Cup Balsamic Glaze, Steak, 2 TBSP Beef Bouillon Paste


Step 1: Prep

Wash and dry produce

Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Trim and halve brussels sprouts

Trim, peel, and cut carrots

Peel and mince garlic

Zest and quarter lemon

Step 2: Roast Vegetables

Toss brussels sprouts and carrots on a baking sheet with a large drizzle of oil, half the italian seasoning, and 1/4 TSP salt and pepper

Roast on top rack for 25 minutes

Step 3: Cook Steak

Pat steak dry with paper towels, Season all over with remaining Italian seasoning, and 1/4 TSP of salt and pepper

Heat a large drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium high heat

Add steak, cook to desired doneness 4-6 minutes per side

Turn off heat, transfer steak to cutting board and tent with foil to keep warm

Step 4: Make Sauce

Heat a drizzle of oil in pan used for steak over medium heat

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute

Whisk in 1/3 Cup of water, bouillion paste, cream cheese, and a squeeze of lemon juice

Remove from heat

Whisk in creme fraiche, 1 TBSP butter, and lemon zest

Season with 1/4 TSP of salt and pepper

Step 5: Glaze Vegetables

Once Vegetables are done, transfer to a large bowl

Add half the Balsamic Glaze and toss until Evenly coated

Step 6: Finish and Serve

Slice steak

Divide steak and vegetables between plates, spoon sauce over steak, and sprinkle with lemon zest

Drizzle with Balsamic Glaze

Serve hot and enjoy!
