Creamy Steak And Mushroom Stroganoff

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy

INGREDIENTS: Chives, 1 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce, Onion, Button Mushrooms, ½ Cup Cream Sauce Base, Linguine Pasta, 2 TBSP Beef Bouillon Paste, 2 TSP Dijon Mustard, 3 TBSP Sour Cream, 2 TBSP Flour, Ranch Steaks, Garlic


Step 1: Prep

Bring a large ot of salted water to a boil

Wash and dry produce

Trim and thinly slice mushrooms

Halve, peel, and finely dice half the onion

Peel and mince garlic

Thinly slice chives

Step 2: Cook Pasta

Once water is boiling, add Linguine to pot cook, stirring occasionally

Cook for 11 minutes

Reserve ¼ Cup pasta cooking water, then drain and return Linguine to pot

Step 3: Coat and Brown Steak

While pasta cooks, pat steak dry with paper towels

Thinly slice against the grain

Place steak in a medium bowl and season all over with ¼ TSP of salt and pepper

Add half the flour and toss to coat

Heat drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium heat

Add coated steak to pan, and cook for 3 minutes

Turn off heat, and transfer steak to a plate

Step 4: Cook Vegetables

Heat a drizzle of oil used for steak over medium heat

Add mushrooms and diced onion

Cook for 6 minutes

Step 5: Start Stroganoff

Meanwhile in a second medium bowl, combine cream sauce base, Worcestershire Sauce, mustard, bouillion paste, and 1 cup water

Once vegetables have cooked for 6 minutes, reduce heat to low

Melt 2 TBSP of butter

Add garlic, and cook for 1 minute

Add remaining flour, cook for 30 seconds

Add cream sauce mixture until thickened for 3 minutes

Step 6: Finish Stroganoff

Return steak to pan with vegetables and sauce

Cook for 2 minutes

Remove from heat

In a small bowl, combine sour cream and 2 TBSP of Stroganoff sauce from pan

Stir in sour mixture into a pan

Keep covered until ready to serve

Step 7: Finish and Serve

To a pot with drained Linguine, add Halve the chives, remaining bouillion paste, reserved pasta water, and 3 TBSP butter

Cook over medium heat until butter has melted and sauce evenly coats pasta for 3 minutes

Season with ¼ TSP of salt and pepper

Divide pasta bewteen shallow bowls

Top with Stroganoff

Garnish with remaining chives

Serve Hot and Enjoy!
