Chicken Sausage Supreme Pizzas With Green Pepper, Onion, Pesto, And Balsamic Glaze


PREP TIME: 45 Minutes/ COOK TIME: 25 Minutes

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Medium

INGREDIENTS: Green Bell Pepper, ¼ Cup of Pesto, Chicken Sausage, Onion, Button Mushrooms, 1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, Pizza Dough, 1/8 Cup Balsamic Glaze, ½ Cup Flour, ½ Cup Marinara Sauce


Step 1: Prep Dough

Adjust rack to top position, and preheat oven to 475

Wash and dry produce

Sprinkle 3 TBSP flour over a clean work surface

Remove dough from packaging and place on prepared surface

Shape each piece of dough into a ball

Evenly sprinkle 2 TBSP Flour over dough balls

Cover with a clean kitchen towel, and rest at room temperature for 20 minutes

Step 2: Prep Toppings

While dough rest, halve, peel, and thinly slice onion

Core, dessed, and dice bell pepper

Trim and slice mushrooms

Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium heat

Add onion, bell pepper, and cook mushrooms. Season with ¼ TSP of salt and pepper

Cook for 3 minutes

Add sausage, breaking into small pieces, cook for 6 minutes

Step 3: Stretch Dough

Once dough has rested for 20 minutes, line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Carefully press and stretch each dough ball into a rough oval shape and place one one side of prepared sheet

Cover dough with a clean kitchen and rest for 15 minutes more

Step 4: Shape and Assemble Pizzas

Using floured hands, press dough on baking sheet into larger oval shapes about 10 inches long, and 6 inches wide

Spread each dough with marinara, and mozzarella

Top with sausage and veggie mix

Drizzle or brush edges of dough with oil

Step 5: Bake Pizzas

Bake pizzas on top rack until til crust has risen and golden, and crisp for 18 minutes

Step 6: Finish and Serve

Drizzle pizzas with pesto and Balsamic Glaze

Slice as desired
