Tex-Mex Pizza With Fresh Salsa And Lime Crema


PREP TIME: 30 Minutes/ COOK TIME: 18 Minutes

SERVING SIZE: Makes 2 (Based off My Fitness Pal App)/ CALORIES: 1010/ Protein 25g

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Medium

INGREDIENTS: Pizza Dough, 1 Cup Salsa, 2 TBSP Cream Cheese, 1 Cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Ground Beef, Bell Pepper, 2 TBSP Sour Cream, Lime, 1 TBSP Taco Seasoning


Step 1: Prep And Rise Dough

Adjust rack of oven to top position, and preheat oven to 475

Wash and dry produce

Flour baking sheet, place dough on to sheet

Flour tops of pizza dough

Damp a large towel, and place over dough, and let rise for 20 minutes

Dice green pepper

Zest Lime, and Quarter

Step 2: Stretch Dough

Once dough balls have risen for 20 minutes, spray 2nd baking sheet with non-stick spray

Roll and stretch dough into desired pizza shape, and rest for an additional 15 minutes

Step 3: Cook Beef and Peppers

To a large pan on medium heat, add a drizzle of oil

Place ground beef into pan, breaking i to small pieces with a meat masher

Add peppers

Season with taco seasoning, and ¼ TSP of salt and pepper

Cook for 10 minutes

Step 4: Make Sauces

For pizza sauce combine cream cheese into salsa and mix well

For creama combine sour cream, lime zest, juice from half of lime, and ¼ TSP of salt and pepper

Mix well, set aside untilready to serve

Step 5: Make Pizza

Once pizza has risen, add scopes of salsa to dough, swirling evenly to coat. Leave ½ inch border for crust

Top with sharp cheddar cheese, and ground beef and peppers

Place into oven, and bake for 18 minutes

Step 6: Finish and Serve

Remove pizza from oven, and cool for 5 minutes before slicing

Top with lime crema

Serve hot and Enjoy!
